Community and friendship are important values that we hold dear and that is the reason for having Coffee Plus, which is aimed especially at those who are 50 "plus".
Coffee Plus mornings are held on the first Friday of the month in homes within the village and are designed to be a time of gathering together informally to share tea, coffee, biscuits and cake, with plenty of good natured, lively conversation thrown in. Coffee Plus starts from 10.30am and you will be made very welcome as soon as you enter the front door. Just come in and join the conversation. For more information, please contact Judith Ogden, (01234) 822451.

Vale Community Church is committed to meeting the needs of the community and church family, throughout all stages of life. 'Afternoon Tea' has been established to serve the older generation in the village. Sometimes, the older folks in the community can feel rather lonely and isolated, so 'Afternoon Tea' is designed to build on existing relationships as well as develop new ones. The group meets on the third Tuesday afternoon of the month, from 3.00pm, in the lounge at Manor Court.
There is always a cup of tea to be had with cakes and lots of opportunity for people to catch up with each other as they chat over their tea, take part in some craft and a quiz or play board games. There is also a short 'food4thought'. All older folks are welcome whether they come along to anything else we run or residents of the village. We are happy to provide transport should you require it - please contact Steve Gaunt, (01234) 301309.
