Our Mission, Vision and Aim

Our Mission
Why do we exist...

...to be God's people, equipped by the Holy Spirit, called to make disciples of Jesus in Marston Moretaine.

Our Vision
Where are we called to go...

...to see hundreds of lives touched by the love of Jesus by 2020.

Our Guiding Scripture

"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your chords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities." Isaiah54:2-4a

Our Priorities

Lengthen our reach for Christ - locally through blessing our community.
Strengthen our capacity in Christ - equpping every member to fulfil their God-given purpose.

The Transformation We Hope To See In Four Years

Building
We envision a physical presence established in the village through the rental or purchase of a building that acts as meeting place for various purposes and people groups.

Community
We envision exisiting church / community links built upon and new ones forged, leading to greater engagement with people of all ages throughout the village.

Welcome
We envision a 'habit of invitation' embedded in our people so that they naturally and regularly invite others they know to the various activities and services we run.

Growth
We envision growth in regular Sunday attendance through new disciples being made, leading to a new community being established in the village or surrounding area.

Leadership
We envision strong and effective leadership in place across all ages and all areas of church life through training, mentoring and providinig leadership opportunities.

Discipleship
We envision growth in people's spirituality in worship, dependency, knowledge, service and mission, equipping them to be used by God for his kingdom purposes.

Fellowship
We envision a greater sense of family and unity built up in the fellowship through people feeling more relationally connected to those they worship and serve alongside.

Development
We envision growth in the number of people under 40 in the church through work amongst our young people, young adults and young families.

Our Aim
What we need to do...

... to be a church were everyone belongs and is equipped to reach their full potential in Jesus Christ.
